White Turkey

With Thanksgiving right around the corner I thought you might appreciate the wild turkeys we have that are around our house. They are big enough that one would feed all of Bills family plus the outlaws (like 40 people), too bad we don't hunt.

My new past time

OK after making the kids birthday cakes for the last 4 years I decided to finally take a cake decorating class. Here are a few that I have made and am proud of.

My neice's birthday cake.

For a coworker of Bill's.
For our Hayride.

The kids with thier first experience licking the bowl. They are really enjoying Mommy's new hobby. (Debbie wouldn't try it the time I had the camera out, since then she has come to her senses.)

Hayride and Pumpkin farm

Here are some random pictures from a Hayride that we did and the annual trip the to pumpkin farm we do with Bill's family.

Debbie, Bill and me on the hayride. Suzie is taking this picture.
Suzie and Jack, Debbie is taking the picture.
Nate trying to figure out what trouble he can get into.
Bill's brother Marc and his family, us and the kids and Bill's mom, Dianne. Unfortunately most of the family couldn't make it but we had a blast and it was a hot day, and I do mean hot. It was in the upper 80's in October.

The kids outside of the pumpkin farm.

Soccer Stars

Following in Edwardsville tradition and daddy's footsteps we signed the triplets up for soccer this fall. They did awesome and although Debbie said she didn't want to play each week, she did. Here you can see them in action.

Nate being a trouper about sitting through the games.
Debbie running drills.
Jack driving the ball down the field.

I love this expression on Debbie.
Suzie running drills.

Summer Vacation

We took a cruise this summer with my parents, younger brother, and older brother with his family. We had a great time. I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

Grandpa and Nate, Nate's smile is because he just caught sight of Cinderella's castle at Disneyworld. I have raised Disney fans.

My brohter, Steve on the cruise. This reminds me of that Carinval commercial where they are looking for the smile on their daughter.

My neice Tiffini and Debbie. They all hit it off but these two seemed to have a specail bond. They are very much alike.
Mom and Dad on their anniversary.

My other niece Sami and Nate.

An all time favorite of the triplets. They aren't babies anymore and this picture just points that out even more.

We were getting ready to go to a formal night dinner and the boys just passed out. Cruises are not as relaxing as they are cracked up to be because there is so much to do.

Monday, November 3, 2008

OK I am hoping that I might be better at posting pictures here than I have been at sending them out. Plus this way emails don't get bogged down with pictures.

The family is doing great. We got through Halloween with collecting more candy than they can eat in a year (and that isn't an exageration). They had a blast with all of the events and we couldn't have asked for better weather, 70 degrees with a mild wind. So different than years that we are freezing our buns off at the parade.

The kids are all doing great. Jack is in karate and really doing well listening and learning. The girls are in ballet and love it, they have wanted to take a dance class for a while. And they all have gymnastics. The triplets gymanstics class is teaching them summersaults and cartwheels while Nate's is basically running off energy but they ahve a great time in their classes.

Nate has his assessment Friday and fingers crossed he will get in to the preschool program with the school district. Even if he does it won't start until his birthday in Jan but still it would be great for all of us.

I am going to post some recent pictures.
